Alright i got the 22r in and got it to start but it wont stay running-revs at 2000 rpm for a sec then it just stalls, wont idle.....the carb is factory tuned and was running great in the motor it was in before, the carb is getting fuel, the sight glass is at half like it should be. i just cant figure out the issue! there are a couple wires on the carb, one is the choke, i dont know what the rest are- i do not have the emissions control unit installed, ive been researching and it is possible to remove all the emission hoses and ecm and leaving about 4 hoses, one for distributor, brake booster, PCV valve and the one to the air cleaner- i ust have to figure out which and how to block the EGR and the other one(i dont know where it is) i can make plates to do so, and for some reason sometimes when i start it, it will stay running but at 2000rpm until i tap the throttle then it stalls..... Can anyone help me with this?

Check the fuel cut solenoid circuitry.

i got it to work now, turns out the gasket between the carb and manifold was leaking so i replaced it and now its running perfect, i just need some information on how to adjust the air/fuel mixture settings. Got a diagram? The 22r is a 1985/86 i have a haynes manual and its carb adjust diagram is wrong and looks different than this carb.

The idle mix screw is pass side at the base of the carb. There is a small plug covering it (kinda looks like a mini freeze plug).

I blocked off all the EGR stuff on my 22r it was pretty simple. said it takes three plates but i did four, two above exhaust manifold one on back left side of the head and one on the intake manifold where it inducts in EG, right beside the carb. the bigger hose on the left hand lower side of the carb is a bowl breather, it probably needs to be kept on there, thats one of the wires. and the other is an idle off solenoid. if you need the adjusting directions let me know i just rebuilt my carb today and the rebuild kit had all adjusting procedures in it.
