Pikes' Peak Raceway is what they call a short track. So speed is not as important a factor as finding the right line and lap time. My starting lap time was 50.8 but by the 8th lap I was down to 41.5, top speed 107.3mph. They were REALLY nice.. I was the only student today, so we had plenty of time to talked & discuss what I could do to improve & etc. Jim, my instructor was really a good guy (and good lookin' ) retired Air Force. So inevitably the subject came up about when are gonna be in So Cal... End of July... in FONTANA... (It gets hotter than Hades out there)... so as started to leave... I really DID NOT want to see them in Fontana...and since there are discounts once you've driven with them...

Im thinking about doing the ride-along at Texas Motor speed way
