The horse power should be the same, according to the wikipedia website write-up on the the tundra... SAE standards were changed on how horse power was figured for 06 model year. Darrin

I also suspected it might have something to do with U-Joints because when i took it back to the dealer and took the truck for a test drive, we could not hear the clunking noise because it was raining. The culprit part or parts probably got wet and did not make any noise. Thank you for sharing me your experience.

Well, I went back to the dealer several days ago, tested the truck with the dealer's #1 master mechanic / foreman. He said this is normal on Tundras, the middle yoke goes in and out creating the clunk. They checked all U joints and they all looked good. They put grease on the yoke area to see if the clunking goes away, but it still clunks. He said this is normal after 11K miles, parts have settled / broken in. He will call the regional office to see if another dealer found a solution to this problem.

Anyone had the same reasoning from Toyota dealers?

Thanks. Sorry it took me awhile to reply. I've been too busy before and after the holidays. I will try another toyota dealer to see if i can get a better outcome.
