OIl pressure at idle, 86 22r

I have only 10 psi oil pressure at idle on an 86 22r engine with 15,000 miles on a rebuild. Is that normal? I just had a timing chain eat through the cover after the tensioner failed. I will have the mechanic check it at higher rpm, but I thought it should be around 40 or so. Any of you guys have an oil pressure gauge?
